THE STORY MOVES FORWARD AT A QUICK PACE AND IS OMNOUSLY TIMING: KARL MONGER

Charles and Linda awaken late for their day because the alarm clock fails to go off.  Charles finds the electricity is out in the neighborhood, and they both perform the regular routine of getting dressed for the day.  Soon they both get caught up in a society that is not prepared for being suddenly without electricity, money, food and gasoline.  Average men and women--some of them even--neighbors will now kill for gasoline.  Their drive in search of safety at his fathers shelter many miles away becomes a test of sanity.  The extreme and bizarre things they encounter on the journey will chill you.  When you read this experience, pray for the day hoping we will be spared from the dependency of this blinded nation.
